The Sewcial club part 5 November 17 2013

Friday night was Sewcial club night an evening of crafting, cocktails and cake! It was the first one in the beautiful new People shop, which made the perfect setting for the handmade goodness to happen.

So what did we get up to.

Well, of course we drank lots of cocktails ... cheekily named *Santa's stocking* (there is a theme brewing here!) a tasty mix of sloe gin, cranberry and raspberry juice (yum yum) these went down very nicely indeed!

Then we had delicious homemade cupcakes with sprinkles and big chocolate buttons on top, lots of nibbles, chocolates and sweets too... we do like to spoil our guests and all of this chatting and crafting does call for lots of refreshments you know!

But we didn't just eat... and drink *promise* we did make lots of lovely stuff too!

The Big day is approaching quicker than you can say "jack frost" so we decided to get in the festive mood a little and kick off the first Sewcial club of the season with some Christmassy makes.

We made cute little felt stockings personalised with hearts and initials for cute little people who will be receiving them in a few weeks time. We made pretty rag wreaths in alternative colours (wreaths are for life not just for Christmas!) and these ones made from spotty ribbon, gingham and stripes look good all year round. Apparently they look good on heads too and you can play *peepo* with them! See above!

And we even had time to squeeze in a cute make which was all Mr C's idea... lovely little hyacinth bulbs in jam jars simply wrapped with string ... the perfect finishing touch to a pretty perfect evening of crafting and giggles (we won't mention the lavatory or the soil.. you had to be there!)

The Sewcial club is a whole lot of fun, anyone can join in, newbies, crafters, knitters and stitchers, whatever you love to make I guarantee you will LOVE the Sewcial club. If you want to come along you can book yourself a place in the online store. Next date Friday 29th November.

looking forward to next time
