'People ♥ Christmas' Party Sunday 4th December 2011

Stripy socks, logs crackling on the fire, mulled wine, homemade mince pies, Christmas pud, cuddles with your little ones, snoozing on the sofa, satsumas, twinkly lights, prezzies under the tree, cosy pyjama days, special times with family and friends, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate ...

This year it's a traditional Christmas at people. No need to spend a fortune, we have treats to suit every pocket (and we'll wrap everything up extra special with a big bow on top and make it look a million dollars).

To start the Christmas cheer, we're inviting you to a good old fashioned knees-up.

We would really love it if you would join us for a mince pie and a glass (or two or three!) of mulled wine.

To help spread the pennies even further we're giving you a 10% discount off giftware and 20% off clothing!

People's 11th Birthday Party - Saturday 11th June 2011

We've come a long way since we opened 11 years ago, and as a (nearly) 11 year-old, we can tie our own shoe laces and everything!

We've made some wonderful friends along the way and we wouldn't be what we are today without you all, so wanted to share our celebrations with you! So it was People shop's BIG birthday party on Saturday 11th June!

• Local soul band The Atlantic Players performed live at The People Shops BIG birthday bash!
• The fabulous BAKE Birmingham were on hand with their delectable yummy cakes!
• Allison bought yet *another* pair of shoes!

Help Japan Event - Saturday 26th March 2011

We're very proud that together we've managed to raise an amazing grand total of £1100 to help victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

We had:

Live music by local musicians
A traditional Japanese origami workshop
Raffle with prizes donated from Birmingham artists
Yummy cupcake sale (munch!)
Complimentary Sake cocktail (swig!)
Dress auction for a gorgeous one off dress designed in store!
Breakfast maple walnut scones, cupcakes and whoopee pies by @Bake_Birmingham!
